This trout came on a Daiwa Presso Double Clutch 45S—calm water, clear visibility, and fish willing to track and commit. When conditions line up, a well-worked sinking minnow lets you show the fish everything at once — profile, sink, flash, and control. Cold Weather, Pressured Fish
Shane H. braved low-20° mornings to land a couple of beautiful brown trout on a Forest MIU Native 3.5g in color #15. In high-pressure conditions with trout holding a little deeper, the subtler, less flashy higher-number color was the right call — a great example of slowing down and letting the river do the work.
Beautiful Rainbow
Rick landed this beautiful, brightly-colored rainbow trout, showing off its bold spots, rosy lateral stripe, and perfect fins. The fish is held gently above the net in shallow, clear water, capturing that classic moment just before release. With sunlight bringing out the vibrant golds and reds along its body,
Big-Water Brown
Big water, big current, big attitude. This brown hammered a Smith Niakis spinner mid-drift and bulldogged downstream before giving up inches at a time. Whether Bill was working a Niakis or a hand-tied marabou jig, Bill just kept solving the river—and it paid off in a big way.

One of our great customers landed this 21-inch tank in heavily pressured public water on a Palms Alexandra 43mm. This old beast likely dodged anglers for years—until it met the right plug in the right hands!
